The San Francisco 49ers have placed defensive lineman Bradlee Anae on injured reserve after he led the club with three quarterback pressures in its preseason opener. Anae, who topped the UFL in pass-rush win rate earlier this year, becomes the second 49ers defensive lineman on IR. To fill the roster spot, the team has signed wide receiver Malik Turner, reuniting with the special-teams contributor who spent parts of the 2022 and 2024 seasons in San Francisco. The 49ers also plan to add 265-pound edge rushers Demone Harris and William Bradley-King ahead of next week’s joint practice with the Las Vegas Raiders. Once the transactions are complete, San Francisco will carry at least 20 defensive linemen as it deals with eight injuries along the unit.
Wild: The 49ers will have at least 20 defensive linemen on their roster once their latest moves are finalized (even if they cut 2 DL to make room for the latest 2 signings). Most I've ever seen for the 49ers, but it reflects the current reality — 8 DL hurt including 2 on IR
