Taylor Swift will make her first podcast appearance in years on the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” show, airing Wednesday, Aug. 13, at 7 p.m. ET on YouTube and major audio platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Wondery. Teaser clips released ahead of the episode show Swift sitting alongside Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and his brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, joking that “if there’s one thing male sports fans want on their screens, it’s more of me.” Swift also revealed the title and artwork of her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” during a briefcase-prop teaser posted at 12:12 a.m. ET on Aug. 12. Industry trackers say the announcement and forthcoming interview have already triggered a sharp increase in views and followers for “New Heights,” which was licensed by Amazon-owned Wondery last year in a deal reportedly worth about $100 million. The podcast appearance caps a broader media push by the couple. GQ on Tuesday unveiled Travis Kelce as its September cover star; in the accompanying profile the three-time Super Bowl champion admitted his NFL performance “might have slipped a little bit” over the past two seasons because he was “excited to venture into a new world of acting,” adding that he is determined to “show up this year for my guys.”
