Chicago indie duo Whitney will release their fourth studio album, “Small Talk,” on 7 November through AWAL, the band announced Wednesday. The record follows 2022’s “Spark” and was self-produced by singer-drummer Julien Ehrlich and guitarist Max Kakacek during the summer of 2024. Alongside the announcement, Whitney issued the wistful single “Dandelions,” their second preview of the 11-track set after May’s release of “Darling.” A video for “Dandelions,” directed by Alexa and Jessica Viscius, was also unveiled. To support the album, the duo will embark on a North American headline run that begins 20 July at The Hangar in South Lake Tahoe, California, and wraps up 15 August at Bell’s Eccentric Café in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The trek sits between previously announced support dates with Caamp and Shakey Graves.
