Apple TV+ has begun principal photography on the fourth season of its Emmy-winning comedy “Ted Lasso,” Apple Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook announced. Filming started this week in Kansas City, Missouri, marking the show’s first production move to the United States after three London-based seasons. A first-look image released by Cook shows returning cast members Jason Sudeikis, Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple and Jeremy Swift gathered in a diner, confirming their participation in the new installment. It is the series’ first shoot since Season 3 concluded in March 2023. Producers have indicated that the plot will pivot to Ted Lasso coaching a women’s soccer team, with the storyline expected to shift back to London later in the season. While Apple has not set a premiere date, typical production timelines point to a late-2025 or early-2026 launch. The comedy remains one of Apple TV+’s most decorated properties, credited with helping raise the profile of the subscription service, which costs $9.99 per month.
