Former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari's death has elicited widespread condolences from political leaders and parties across Nigeria. Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun expressed profound shock at Buhari's passing, while Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Abia Governor Alex Otti, and Taraba Governor Agbu Kefas described it as a loss to the nation. The Jigawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party also extended condolences to Buhari's family and the Nigerian people. President Bola Tinubu traveled from Abuja to Kano State to pay respects to Buhari's family. However, the African Democratic Congress accused Tinubu's administration of exploiting Buhari's death for political gain. Additionally, the Emir of Gusau in Zamfara State, Dr. Ibrahim Bello, died at age 71 after a prolonged illness in Abuja. His funeral prayer is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Gusau Central Jumu’ah Mosque. President Tinubu and the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress have mourned the Emir's passing and extended condolences to the Zamfara State Government, Gusau Emirate Council, and the people of Zamfara. On the international front, Gambian President Adama Barrow visited Buhari's family in Daura, Katsina State, to offer condolences.
