Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party and head of Pakistan's diplomatic mission, completed an 11-day diplomatic tour covering the United States, United Kingdom, and the European Union. During this tour, he held 68 key diplomatic meetings where he effectively presented Pakistan's stance on peace, the Kashmir issue, and the Indus Water Treaty. Upon his return to Pakistan, he received a large public welcome at Karachi Airport. Following his return, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari engaged in several political activities including meetings with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, participation in parliamentary sessions, and addressing the National Press Club in Islamabad. He also inaugurated an international conference on Pakistan's fight against terrorism organized by the Islamabad Policy Research Institute. Additionally, Bilawal and his sister, Member of National Assembly Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, met with the British High Commissioner Jane Marriott to discuss bilateral relations. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held meetings with various members of the National Assembly and was briefed on emergency measures related to recent monsoon rains and floods at the National Emergencies Operations Centre. On July 15, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met to discuss the country's political, security, and economic situation, including upcoming political events such as the PTI protest march and Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
