The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced the schedule for the Senate elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), set to take place on July 21, 2025. Changes in the reserved seat distribution have altered the numerical strength within the KP Assembly. Political analysis suggests that if some PTI members break ranks and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) reaches a deal with the ruling coalition, the coalition could secure around five seats, potentially achieving a two-thirds majority in the Senate.
