Pakistan celebrated its 78th Independence Day on August 14, 2025, marked by nationwide festivities under the theme "Marka-e-Haq". The celebrations featured a grand military parade with participation from the Pakistan Armed Forces and a march-past by the Turkish Armed Forces. At the Governor House in Sindh, a four-day celebration was underway. The National Stadium in Karachi and Jinnah Sports Complex in Islamabad were key venues for central events. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the formation of the Army Rocket Force Command, a new military unit equipped with advanced technology capable of striking from all directions. He also unveiled a commemorative "Marka-e-Haq" monument model and praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as a distinguished national figure. The day included ceremonial activities such as the changing of guards at Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal mausoleums. Overseas Pakistanis in the US and Dubai also participated in the celebrations. The European Union ambassador shared a video commemorating the occasion.
