U.S PRESIDENT TRUMP INVITES POLAND'S NEW PRESIDENT TO THE WHITE HOUSE ON SEPTEMBER 3
U.S. President Donald Trump has invited Poland’s newly sworn-in president, Karol Nawrocki, to the White House for an official working meeting on 3 September, according to Pawel Szefernaker, the Polish leader’s chief of staff. Nawrocki, who took office on 6 August after winning May’s election with the backing of the nationalist Law and Justice party, has repeatedly highlighted the importance of close ties with Washington. He met Trump in the Oval Office during the campaign and received public endorsement from the U.S. president. The forthcoming visit will be Nawrocki’s first to the United States since his inauguration and is expected to focus on deepening security and economic cooperation between the two NATO allies.
