On the night of July 11, 2025, Ukraine experienced a large-scale aerial assault involving over 250 drones, including more than 160 "Geran" (Shahed-type) drones, according to Ukrainian monitoring channels. The attack was supported by Russian strategic bombers, with five Tu-95MS and one Tu-160 aircraft launching missiles over Ukrainian territory. Additionally, a MiG-31K equipped with hypersonic "Kinzhal" missiles was reported to have taken off. Ukrainian air defenses were actively engaged in countering the drone incursions and missile threats. There were also reports of potential forthcoming attacks involving Russian cruise and ballistic missiles, indicating a continued escalation in aerial hostilities.
