Subsequently, on July 4, Russian forces struck military targets in Kyiv with high-precision long-range weapons. Following this, on July 8, Russian forces targeted gas and energy infrastructure critical to the operation of Ukraine's military-industrial complex. Overnight on July 9-10, the Russian military carried out precision strikes on military-industrial facilities in Kyiv and a military airfield, reportedly hitting all designated targets. These operations involved the use of long-range weapons and drones, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
