A Russian Ilyushin Il-96-300PU aircraft, part of Russia's Special Flight Squadron and associated with the Russian Presidential Fleet, has arrived at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska ahead of a scheduled summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump. The summit is set to take place on Friday at 11:30 a.m. local time. The initial Il-96 flight, carrying journalists and advance staff, landed earlier in the day, with subsequent flights including two additional Il-96-300s departing Moscow for Anchorage. One of these aircraft is believed to be carrying President Putin and the Russian delegation. After the initial landing, the first Il-96-300 departed Anchorage, apparently diverting to Elizovo Airport in Russia’s Far East.
