Ukraine has intensified its long-range drone campaign, striking multiple Russian military targets over the past week, according to Ukrainian intelligence assessments and satellite imagery reviewed on 29 June. On 28 June, loitering munitions hit a logistics depot in the city of Bryansk that serves the 1060th Red Banner Center for Material and Technical Support—formerly the 120th Arsenal of Russia’s missile and artillery directorate. Video from the scene showed explosions and a large fire; Russia’s defence ministry said air defences downed 11 drones but did not acknowledge damage. Fresh satellite images confirm that a separate strike overnight on 27 June damaged four Su-34 fighter-bombers at the Marinovka airfield in Volgograd region, destroying two outright and leaving two others burnt on the apron. Analysts noted scorch marks consistent with a secondary detonation of the aircrafts’ suspended munitions. The week’s operations began during the night of 24–25 June, when drones hit the Kushchyovskaya airbase in Krasnodar Krai, knocking out an electrical substation at a facility that trains pilots of the 797th Training Aviation Regiment.
