Arsenal Football Club has reached a full agreement to sign Swedish striker Viktor Gyökeres from Sporting CP. The 27-year-old forward, who scored 39 goals in the previous league season, has agreed to a five-year contract with Arsenal, valid until June 2030. The striker will take the number 14 shirt at Arsenal, a number famously worn by the club's record goalscorer Thierry Henry. Arsenal confirmed the signing on July 26, 2025, with the player’s agents arriving in London to complete the deal.
