FC Barcelona on 29 July unveiled its 2025-26 away strip created jointly by long-time kit supplier Nike and the Kobe Bryant brand, marking the first time a football club will wear the late NBA star’s “Kobe Sheath” logo in place of the traditional Nike swoosh. The predominantly yellow and purple design incorporates a snakeskin weave that references Bryant’s “Mamba Mentality.” Nike said the shirt uses its Dri-FIT ADV fabric, while Barcelona described the launch as a meeting of “two iconic brands” focused on high-performance sport. Financial terms of the collaboration were not disclosed. Nike resumed commercial ties with Bryant’s estate in 2022 after a temporary lapse in the wake of the player’s death in 2020. The Barca partnership extends the basketball legend’s branding into global football merchandising ahead of the club’s pre-season tour and kit retail rollout.
