Gabriel Heinze, the 47-year-old former Argentina international defender and ex-Manchester United player, has agreed to join Arsenal's coaching staff. Heinze will replace Carlos Cuesta, who recently left to become the head coach of Parma. Heinze previously played alongside Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta at Paris Saint-Germain between 2001 and 2002. Arteta had attempted to bring Heinze to Arsenal earlier in 2024. The appointment is expected to be finalized soon, marking Heinze's return to coaching after Cuesta's departure and Christian Chivu's move to Inter Milan.
