Sweden opened its Women’s Euro 2025 campaign with a 1–0 victory over Denmark on 4 July in Geneva. Midfielder Filippa Angeldahl broke the deadlock early in the second half, securing three points for Peter Gerhardsson’s side in Group C. Four days later the Swedes tightened their grip on the group, racing to a 3–0 advantage against Poland. Stina Blackstenius headed in the first-half opener, before second-half strikes from Kosovare Asllani and Lina Hurtig gave Sweden a comfortable cushion midway through the second period.
