Apple has released Pixelmator Pro version 3.7, the first significant update to the Mac image-editing app since it acquired the Pixelmator suite last year. The new release integrates Apple Intelligence technologies, bringing generative Image Playground capabilities and on-device Writing Tools—complete with optional ChatGPT integration—directly into the workspace. Beyond the AI additions, version 3.7 expands professional workflows by enabling editing of High Res Shot RAW files from OM System’s OM-1 Mark II camera. Accessibility is also improved: VoiceOver now announces tool names during keyboard navigation, and Hover Text can enlarge interface labels. Pixelmator Pro remains a standalone product on the Mac App Store, priced at a one-time $49.99 and available as a free update for existing users.
