Google has expanded the availability and capabilities of its Veo 3 AI video generation model, integrated within the Gemini app. Initially launched at Google I/O 2025 for AI Ultra subscribers at $249.99 per month, Veo 3 is now accessible to AI Pro subscribers in over 159 countries, including India, France, and the Netherlands, with a limit of three videos per day. The model enables users to create realistic eight-second videos with audio and dialog from text prompts. Since its launch in May 2025, more than 40 million videos have been generated using Veo 3 across the Gemini app and Google's AI tool for filmmakers, Flow. Recently, Google introduced a photo-to-video generation feature allowing users to convert still images into dynamic eight-second video clips with ambient sound and vocals, available to both Ultra and Pro subscribers. Additionally, Veo 3 has been made available in paid public preview via the Gemini API and Google AI Studio, targeting developers who can now build applications with generative video capabilities. The API pricing is set at $0.75 per second with audio and $0.50 per second without audio, making it one of the more expensive AI video generation options. Google continues to enhance Veo 3’s features and accessibility, aiming to foster creative video content generation through AI.
