Files discovered in Apple’s iOS 26 developer beta 5 reference an unannounced "Apple Watch Ultra 3" with a display resolution of 422 × 514 pixels, up from the current Ultra 2’s 410 × 502. The asset implies a modest increase in screen area that could be achieved through slimmer bezels rather than a larger case. The same beta code points to other hardware upgrades previously rumored for the new model, including a brighter, faster-refresh panel, an updated processor and satellite connectivity, as well as emerging health functions such as blood-pressure monitoring. Apple is expected to introduce the watch alongside the iPhone 17 range and Apple Watch Series 11 at its September event. Separately, the latest test builds continue Apple’s wider visual overhaul: iOS 26 expands the “Liquid Glass” interface, and macOS 26 ‘Tahoe’ replaces the long-standing Macintosh HD icon with an SSD-themed graphic. The cosmetic changes signal that Apple’s design language is largely locked for the public software releases due next month.
