Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met Thai Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa on Thursday in Anning, southwest China, ahead of the 10th Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. Marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations, Wang said Beijing is ready to accelerate construction of the China–Thailand Railway, encourage more Chinese companies to invest in Thailand, and expand collaboration in green development, the digital economy and artificial intelligence. He also called for measures to keep regional industrial and supply chains stable. Wang added that China supports dialogue between Thailand and Cambodia to rebuild trust over their border dispute and is prepared to provide assistance if requested. The ministers said deeper cooperation under the Lancang-Mekong framework would inject fresh momentum into regional peace and development.
