NASA and Netflix announced a non-exclusive partnership on 30 June 2025 that will place NASA+ live programming on the streaming platform later this summer. Netflix subscribers worldwide will gain real-time access to rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, mission briefings and high-definition views of Earth from the International Space Station, marking the first time the service integrates a continuous live feed from an outside programmer in the United States. The deal does not alter NASA+’s existing free, ad-free availability on the agency’s app and website, and no money was exchanged, NASA said. Rebecca Sirmons, general manager of NASA+, called the move a way to fulfil the 1958 Space Act mandate to share the agency’s work with the broadest possible audience. By tapping Netflix’s more than 700 million user profiles and roughly 300 million paid memberships, the space agency broadens its reach while Netflix deepens its push into live content following recent deals covering NFL games and WWE programming. Detailed schedules will be released closer to launch, but the feed is expected to include upcoming events such as the Crew-11 mission to the International Space Station and other summer flight operations. NASA said the collaboration is part of wider efforts to “bring the excitement of the agency’s discoveries, inventions and exploration to people, wherever they are.”
