SpaceX is preparing for two key launches in August 2025. Starship Flight 10, the tenth test flight of the Starship launch vehicle, is targeting a mid-August launch window, with the current estimate pushing the date to no earlier than August 16. This flight will use Booster 16 and Ship 37, which recently underwent a Raptor Vacuum engine swap requiring additional testing at Pad 1, including static fire or spin prime tests to verify the replacement engine. Meanwhile, SpaceX is also preparing to launch the KF-02 mission for Amazon's Project Kuiper satellite constellation from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. This mission involves deploying 24 Kuiper satellites into low-Earth orbit using a Falcon 9 rocket. The launch, initially scheduled for August 7 and then August 8, was delayed multiple times due to weather and vehicle checkouts, with the latest planned liftoff set for August 10 at 9:45 a.m. ET. This KF-02 mission marks SpaceX's 100th flight of the year. Additionally, the United Launch Alliance (ULA) is preparing for the USSF-106 mission on the Vulcan rocket, the first U.S. national security mission on this vehicle, with a scheduled launch on August 12 and a 75% favorable weather forecast. As of August 9, SpaceX has conducted 96 launches in 2025, contributing to a total of 111 successful orbital rocket launches by the U.S. this year, outpacing other countries including China and Russia.
