Girona FC has renewed captain Cristhian Stuani for at least one more season, confirming a deal that keeps the 38-year-old Uruguay striker at Montilivi until June 2026, with a further optional year depending on performance. Stuani, the club’s record scorer with 140 goals in 289 appearances, finished the last campaign as Girona’s leading marksman with 11 league goals. Across Catalonia, RCD Espanyol announced the exits of left-back Brian Oliván and goalkeeper Fernando Pacheco. Oliván, 31, ends a three-year spell in which he helped the club gain promotion back to La Liga, while Pacheco departs after serving primarily as back-up in goal. The departures leave Espanyol searching for reinforcements ahead of the new season.
