An internal investigation at the World Economic Forum has concluded that founder Klaus Schwab engaged in a years-long pattern of workplace misconduct, according to a report reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. Sources familiar with the findings said investigators uncovered unauthorized spending by Schwab and his wife as well as repeated instances of bullying, intimidation and discriminatory treatment of female employees. Interviewees told Forum trustees that Schwab ran the organisation like a personal "fiefdom," sidelining pregnant women and women over 40 in ways that affected their careers and mental health. The Journal said the probe’s conclusions were recently presented to WEF trustees. The Forum and Schwab had not publicly responded to the allegations at the time of publication.
