Druze militants are forcefully displacing Bedouins and carrying out field executions. “Not a single Bedouin left, not one single pig.” Just to clarify, I am not taking sides in this conflict. Based on what I’ve seen and heard from witnesses, both parties have committed heinous https://t.co/IrKtXe93W4
Conflict-monitoring accounts reported on 17 July that Druze militants led by Al-Hijri have seized control of Syria’s southern Suwayda province with alleged backing from Israel. The fighters are said to have forced Sunni Bedouin residents from their villages and carried out on-the-spot executions, including of women and children. One combatant was recorded saying, “Not a single Bedouin left, not one single pig.” The claims have not been independently verified, and social-media sources indicate that both the Druze forces and Bedouin groups have been accused of grave abuses during the confrontation.
