DJI has entered the 360-degree action-camera market with the Osmo 360, its first panoramic model and a direct challenger to Insta360’s X5. The device uses twin 1-inch square sensors that record 8K video at up to 50 frames per second—or 8K/30fps continuously for around 100 minutes—while maintaining a 183-gram form factor. Built-in 105GB storage, a micro-SD slot and compatibility with DJI’s wireless microphones expand its appeal to professional and enthusiast creators. Other headline features include 10-bit D-Log colour, RockSteady and HorizonSteady stabilisation, voice and gesture controls, and a single-lens “Boost Video” mode that shoots 4K slow-motion at 120fps. The battery, shared with DJI’s latest Action cameras, is rated at about 1,900mAh, and an optional Battery Extension Rod can extend 8K recording by a claimed three hours. The Osmo 360 is available immediately in most markets at £409.99 in the UK, €479.99 across Europe and AU$759 in Australia; an Adventure Combo with extra batteries and accessories costs €629.99. DJI says the camera will not be sold in the United States at launch and has given no timetable for U.S. availability.
