Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said he asked U.S. President Donald Trump to step in to halt Israeli attacks on Palestinians in Gaza, following a rise in deaths among civilians waiting for humanitarian assistance. Erdoğan described the request during a news conference after the NATO leaders’ summit in The Hague, noting that Trump reacted positively. Erdoğan told reporters he urged Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to work together to end the violence, warning that Gaza "has no time to lose." According to the United Nations human rights office, 613 Palestinians have been killed over the past month while trying to reach or distribute aid. Erdoğan said Türkiye is pushing for an immediate cease-fire and uninterrupted aid deliveries.
