Fenerbahçe confirmed on 6 July that it has signed Colombian striker Jhon Durán from Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr on a season-long loan. The 21-year-old landed in Istanbul earlier in the day with agent and club officials after negotiations led by sporting director Devin Özek. People briefed on the deal said Fenerbahçe will assume Durán’s full wages, estimated at about €10 million for the 2025-26 campaign. The clubs did not disclose any purchase option. Durán leaves Riyadh only six months after moving from Aston Villa to Al Nassr in a transfer worth roughly €77 million. He scored 12 goals in 18 matches as Al Nassr finished third in the 2024-25 Saudi league. Manager José Mourinho, whose team ended last season 11 points behind Turkish champions Galatasaray, is counting on Durán to sharpen Fenerbahçe’s attack as the Istanbul side prepares for Champions League qualifying and another bid for its first Süper Lig title since 2014.
