The minimum pension in Turkey has been raised from 14,469 Turkish lira to 16,881 Turkish lira, according to an announcement by AK Parti Group Chairman Abdullah Güler. This adjustment follows the inflation figures for June 2025 released by the Turkish Statistical Institute. The proposal to increase the minimum pension was approved by the Turkish Grand National Assembly's Plan and Budget Commission. The new minimum pension amount is expected to be implemented following further parliamentary procedures. Additionally, a separate proposal granting President Erdoğan the authority to extend commanders' terms of service was also approved by the same commission.
