World Wrestling Entertainment used Monday Night Raw in Providence to elevate several of its emerging stars while writing veteran Sami Zayn out of storylines. Accompanied by Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker opened the show declaring himself, with Heyman’s backing and a nod to Seth Rollins, the future face of the company for the next two decades. Heyman intensified the angle by saying Roman Reigns “doesn’t have the courage” to confront the new alliance. Later in the program Karrion Kross ambushed Zayn, and Breakker followed by catching the former champion mid-air with a spear before delivering two more for the pinfall victory. In a ringside interview, Heyman said Zayn is “out of action indefinitely,” setting up a prolonged absence for the Canadian performer. The crowd repeatedly chanted “We Want Kross” after the attack, underscoring growing fan support for the former NXT champion and positioning him as a central figure in the next phase of WWE’s summer storyline.
