Netflix will release “WWE: Unreal,” a five-episode documentary series that promises an unprecedented look inside World Wrestling Entertainment’s writers’ room, on 29 July. The show features narration by WWE chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque and on-camera appearances from high-profile talent including John Cena and Cody Rhodes. Produced jointly by WWE, Omaha Productions, NFL Films and Skydance Sports, the series explores how weekly storylines are developed and executed, offering fans a first-time view of the creative process behind one of sports entertainment’s most closely guarded operations. “WWE: Unreal” extends the broader partnership announced earlier this year in which Netflix secured exclusive global streaming rights to WWE’s flagship program Raw, along with other live events and archival content.
