Peacock said it will launch “The Paper,” a follow-up to NBC’s hit comedy “The Office,” on 4 September. The streaming service will drop the first four episodes at once, then roll out two additional episodes every Thursday through 25 September, adopting a hybrid binge-and-weekly release strategy designed to sustain viewer engagement. Created by “The Office” show-runner Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, the mockumentary follows the documentary crew from the original series as it turns its cameras on a struggling Midwestern newspaper, The Truth Teller, and the publisher determined to revive it. The ensemble cast is led by Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore, with returning “Office” alum Oscar Nuñez joined by Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young and Tim Key. Universal Television produces the series.
