NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service released the first full trailer for Season 2 of its action-comedy series “Twisted Metal,” confirming a 31 July 2025 premiere in the United States. The sophomore run adapts the vehicular-combat video-game franchise more closely than the debut season, centring on a deadly tournament orchestrated by the mysterious Calypso. Anthony Mackie returns as courier-turned-competitor John Doe alongside Stephanie Beatriz’s Quiet, with Anthony Carrigan joining the cast as Calypso. Fan-favourite characters such as Sweet Tooth and the two-wheeled juggernaut Axel also feature prominently in the new footage. Peacock said the season will launch with three episodes on 31 July, followed by weekly instalments every Thursday through 28 August. The show is executive-produced by Michael Jonathan Smith, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.
