Netflix said its first two permanent “Netflix House” entertainment complexes will open in major U.S. malls before year-end, marking the streaming company’s biggest push yet into physical retail and live experiences. The 100,000-square-foot venue at Pennsylvania’s King of Prussia Mall is scheduled to welcome visitors on Nov. 12, while a second site at Galleria Dallas will follow on Dec. 11. Admission to the spaces will be free, with revenue coming from ticketed attractions, merchandise and themed food and beverage outlets based on popular franchises such as “Stranger Things,” “Squid Game,” “One Piece” and “Wednesday.” Initial offerings include interactive mini-golf, virtual-reality games and large-scale immersive sets; tickets for the Philadelphia experiences go on sale Oct. 17, with Dallas sales opening Nov. 18. American Airlines AAdvantage Mastercard holders will receive early access. The move extends Netflix’s strategy of turning hit intellectual property into in-person experiences, following pop-up events and the temporary “Netflix Bites” restaurant. The company said it is targeting 2027 for a third Netflix House in Las Vegas and plans to refresh activities regularly to drive repeat visits.
