Netflix said Monday it has renewed its partnership with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archewell Productions under a multi-year, first-look agreement that gives the streaming service the right of first refusal on the couple’s film and television projects. The arrangement replaces the five-year exclusive pact struck in 2020 that industry sources valued at about $100 million. Financial terms were not disclosed, but the New York Times and other outlets reported the new deal is worth less than the original and reflects Netflix’s broader shift away from costly, all-encompassing talent packages toward more flexible first-look structures. The Sussexes’ forthcoming slate for Netflix includes a second season of the lifestyle series “With Love, Meghan,” due later this month, a holiday special set for December, a feature adaptation of Carley Fortune’s bestseller “Meet Me at the Lake,” and the documentary short “Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within,” centered on an orphanage in Uganda. Netflix also remains an investor in Meghan’s consumer brand As Ever, which is expanding into new product lines this year. Since signing with Netflix in 2020, Archewell has delivered five projects, led by the 2022 docuseries “Harry & Meghan,” which drew 23 million views in its first four days—still a platform record for a documentary debut. Other titles include “Heart of Invictus,” “Live to Lead,” “Polo,” and the first season of “With Love, Meghan,” which logged 5.3 million views in the first half of 2025.
