In June 2025, streaming services accounted for 46% of total U.S. TV viewing time, marking continued growth in streaming consumption according to Nielsen data. This represents a 5.7 percentage point increase year-over-year. YouTube led streaming platforms with 12.8% of viewing share, followed by Netflix at 8.3%, Disney apps at 4.8%, Prime Video at 3.6%, and Roku Channel at 2.5%. Despite Netflix's slight decline of 0.1 percentage points year-over-year, it remains a major contributor to streaming viewership. Broadcast TV viewing fell to 18.5%, the lowest level recorded since Nielsen began tracking TV platform usage four years ago. The decline in broadcast networks highlights the shifting media landscape. Additional streaming services showed smaller shares, including YouTube TV (2.15%), Hulu Live (0.99%), and Paramount+ (1.07%). Disney no longer reports separate viewing percentages for Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+. Warner Bros. Discovery's Max had a 1.28% share, with Discovery+ at 0.16%. Other minor streaming platforms such as Samsung TV+, Apple TV+, and Crunchyroll accounted for less than 1% each. The data underscores the increasing dominance of streaming over traditional broadcast and cable television in the U.S. market.
