Russian forces launched a fresh wave of drone and missile strikes on southern Ukraine overnight, hitting a logistics terminal operated by Nova Poshta and an oil depot owned by Azerbaijani state energy company SOCAR in the Odesa region. Ukraine’s energy ministry said all 17 storage tanks at the depot, along with pump stations, control rooms and perimeter fencing, were damaged, sparking large fires. President Volodymyr Zelensky accused Moscow of “deliberately” targeting the Azerbaijani-owned facility, which had already been struck on 8 August. Azerbaijani media reported that Baku may reconsider its self-imposed ban on arms supplies to Kyiv if attacks on SOCAR assets continue.
