U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy for Ukraine, retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg, visited National Guard of Ukraine training facilities on 16 July. The trip underscored Washington’s ongoing engagement with Kyiv’s security forces amid Russia’s continuing invasion. Accompanied by National Guard Commander Brigadier General Oleksandr Pivnenko, Kellogg toured several training sites where Ukrainian personnel demonstrated tank and infantry fighting-vehicle drills, simulator programs, and the deployment of drones and other robotic systems. According to a National Guard statement, Kellogg commended the soldiers’ professionalism and said Ukraine’s battlefield experience offers lessons for other militaries.
