Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has firmly rejected proposals suggesting that Ukraine should cede territory to Russia as part of a peace deal. This response comes after U.S. President Donald Trump proposed the idea of "some swapping of territories" to potentially end the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Zelensky emphasized that the territorial integrity of Ukraine is enshrined in its Constitution and that no deviation from this principle is possible. He stated unequivocally that Ukrainians will not give up their land to the occupier. Zelensky also insisted that Kyiv must be included in any negotiations regarding the conflict. The firm stance was reiterated ahead of a planned summit between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, intended to seek a resolution to the war. European leaders have also expressed continued support for Ukraine's sovereignty in this context.
