Google, GSA Launch Gemini for Government at Sub-50-Cent Annual Fee

Google said it has partnered with the U.S. General Services Administration to launch “Gemini for Government,” a tailored version of its Gemini artificial-intelligence platform for federal agencies. The offering builds on the company’s existing Google Workspace program for federal employees and packages Google’s latest large-language models with tools such as NotebookLM for document analysis and Veo for video generation. The service is priced at less than $0.50 per agency per year, according to details released with the announcement. Google said the low-cost bundle is meant to accelerate adoption of generative AI across government offices by providing secure, context-aware assistance for drafting, research and workflow automation. Rollout details were not disclosed, but the company described the package as a complete AI platform rather than a single model.
