Anthropic, an artificial intelligence startup, is in advanced talks to raise between $3 billion and $5 billion in a new funding round that would value the company at approximately $170 billion. This potential valuation represents nearly a threefold increase from its previous $61.5 billion valuation in March. The funding round is reportedly led by Iconiq Capital and includes discussions with major Middle Eastern investors such as Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Investment Company (MGX) and Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), as well as Singapore’s Government Investment Corporation (GIC). Anthropic's rapid valuation growth underscores growing investor confidence as it competes with AI leaders like OpenAI and Google DeepMind. The startup is also backed by major technology companies including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and Nvidia.
