Vente Venezuela, an opposition political organization, has reported multiple detentions of its members and affiliates in recent days, attributing these actions to a new wave of political persecution. On July 6, Luis José Magallanes, coordinator of Organization in Yaracuy state, was arbitrarily detained. Rodrigo Pérez, coordinator of Communications in Bolívar state, was also detained by the Servicio Bolivariano de Inteligencia Nacional (Sebin). The Comité de Derechos Humanos of Vente Venezuela confirmed these detentions and called for their immediate release. Additionally, Yandir Loggiodice, secretary general of the Partido Centro Democrático, was detained in Bolívar state by Sebin agents. The Federación Unitaria de Trabajadores Petroleros de Venezuela (FUTPV) reported the detention of 18 workers from the El Palito refinery in Carabobo state. Andreína Baduel has publicly denounced harassment by state officials at her residence, demanding an end to the intimidation. Vente Venezuela also called for the release of two activists in Portuguesa state who have been detained for a year by security forces.
