Electronic Arts (EA) CEO Andrew Wilson has confirmed that the company does not plan to increase the pricing of upcoming games, including Battlefield 6, which will maintain a price point below $80. EA emphasized that it is not looking to make changes to its pricing strategy at this stage, despite rising costs in the AAA gaming industry. Battlefield 6 will feature a grounded aesthetic, avoiding the use of exaggerated or crossover skins common in other games like Call of Duty. The design team highlighted the intention to keep the game's cosmetic elements realistic and true to the Battlefield series' military setting. Additionally, Battlefield 6 will run at 60 frames per second (FPS) by default on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with an optional Performance Mode to increase FPS, and will be enhanced for the PS5 Pro. Meanwhile, Nintendo has implemented price increases for its Switch consoles and accessories in the U.S. market, citing market conditions. Price hikes include the Nintendo Switch OLED model at $400, non-OLED at $340, and Switch Lite at $230. Controller prices have also risen, with Joy-Con controllers now priced at $90 for a single unit and Pro Controllers increasing to $80. These increases are already in effect.
