Tekken's Harada isn't worried about his future absence damaging the series - won't be hard to "continue with someone else" https://t.co/0HnUWxsfxm https://t.co/k9eAXfHfnC
Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada has said that a Tekken Tag Tournament 3 will probably never happen in his working lifetime. "That’s something that the next generation can decide," he said. https://t.co/j8Z6hXlea0 https://t.co/ZQFGQDCti2
Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada said the long-dormant crossover title “Tekken X Street Fighter” is roughly 30 percent complete and that he hopes to publicly show the existing build. Development on the Bandai Namco and Capcom project was halted in 2016, but Harada told Destructoid he would "like to show people what we already have," suggesting a demonstration could rekindle interest in the shelved game. Harada’s comments provide the clearest update in years on the collaborative fighter, originally conceived as a 3D counterpart to Capcom’s 2012 release “Street Fighter X Tekken.” While he offered no timeline for resuming full production, the producer said any revival will hinge on market demand and internal scheduling. Separately, Harada indicated that a dedicated “Tekken Tag Tournament 3” is unlikely during his tenure, noting that a tag mode would more feasibly appear as part of a mainline entry such as Tekken 8 or a future sequel. He cited the lengthy development cycles and evolving genre trends, saying a full tag sequel is “probably not in my working lifetime.”
