Polish developer Techland has postponed the release of its standalone action-horror title “Dying Light: The Beast” by four weeks, shifting the launch to 19 September 2025 from the previously scheduled 22 August date. In a statement, the studio said the additional time will be used to fine-tune gameplay balance, improve user-interface clarity, enhance physics, and further tweak cutscenes and player animations. Techland described the extra month as critical for ensuring a strong first impression after mixed early reception to 2022’s Dying Light 2. The game—originally conceived as downloadable content before expanding into a full release—will arrive simultaneously on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. A playable build remains slated for public demonstration at Gamescom 2025.
