Nintendo has brought its 1992 creative classic “Mario Paint” to the Nintendo Switch Online catalogue, marking the first time the Super Nintendo title has been re-released since its original launch. The drawing, animation and music program arrives as the 74th game in the subscription service’s SNES library. As with the original release, “Mario Paint” can only be played with a mouse. Players using the new Switch 2 can employ the Joy-Con 2 controllers’ built-in mouse functionality, while owners of the earlier Switch model must connect a compatible USB mouse to the console’s dock. The update is available to subscribers on the standard Switch Online tier, which costs $19.99 per year. Nintendo has also uploaded 19 tracks from the game to the Nintendo Music mobile app and enabled mouse controls for additional retro titles, including “Mario’s Super Picross” and “Nobunaga’s Ambition.”
