Together AI has acquired Refuel.ai, a startup specializing in transforming unstructured data into structured datasets for AI applications. This acquisition aims to enhance Together AI's capabilities in managing data quality, a critical factor in developing production-grade AI applications. Refuel.ai, founded in 2021 by Stanford alumni, has developed a family of models for data tasks and a platform called Refuel Cloud, which supports complex data workflows. Refuel.ai has raised $5.2 million since its founding, while Together AI has raised $533 million, with its latest round amounting to $305 million. The integration of Refuel.ai's technology into Together AI's platform is expected to streamline the process of cleaning and structuring data, thereby accelerating the development of AI applications. This move is seen as a strategic step to address the common challenge faced by enterprises in handling their unstructured data, which is essential for deploying AI solutions effectively. OpenAI has introduced the GPT-4.1 family of models, including GPT-4.1, GPT-4.1 mini, and GPT-4.1 nano, into ChatGPT. These models are designed to enhance coding capabilities, follow instructions more effectively, and handle long contexts up to 1 million tokens. The GPT-4.1 models are now available to ChatGPT Plus, Pro, and Team users, with the mini version also accessible to free users as a fallback option when usage limits are reached. The GPT-4.1 model is 26% less costly than its predecessor, while the mini version reduces latency by half and cuts costs by 83%. Alteryx has launched Alteryx One, a unified platform that integrates AI-powered analytics capabilities. This platform aims to simplify access to enterprise data, enhance data preparation, and accelerate AI initiatives. Key features include a centralized portal for managing the Alteryx suite, AI Control Center for orchestration, and new tools like Magic Reports and Alteryx Copilot to automate and scale analytics.
