Anthropic has upgraded its Claude AI platform, transforming it from a chatbot into a no-code app development environment that enables users to build, host, and share interactive AI-powered applications called Artifacts. This new capability allows users without programming skills to create functional AI apps directly within Claude by providing prompts, with the apps running on the viewer's own Claude account rather than the creator's. The feature is available in beta across Free, Pro, and Max subscription tiers. Additionally, Anthropic has introduced an Artifact hub where users can browse, fork, remix, and share these AI tools. The platform also supports embedding Claude into external projects and integrates with databases via Prisma Postgres MCP server, enabling database management and query functions. Industry observers note that Claude's approach emphasizes iterative design and prototyping through conversation before coding, distinguishing it from other AI app builders. The upgrade aligns with Anthropic's broader strategy to position Claude as a versatile AI platform for creators and developers.
Claude is the best AI tool for mockups and prototypes. It beats Cursor, Replit, Bolt, and V0. Most AI app builders jump straight to code. Claude lets you think first. The best product ideas start with conversation first, and code later. You brainstorm → iterate → mock up → https://t.co/VPXwNgsqJR
I like @AnthropicAI ability to create projects in Claude. I have used these for some time, and am happy to see this concept show up in other tools. However, its odd, you can only archive a project, not delete it. I find it suprising it lacks this tool for managing our data. https://t.co/5aA0DlkXRa
