(SSI), the artificial intelligence startup he co-founded last year. This leadership change follows the departure of Daniel Gross, who was acting CEO and a longtime entrepreneur and AI investor. Gross left Safe Superintelligence to join Meta's newly established superintelligence lab, highlighting an intensifying talent competition in the AI industry. Meta's recruitment of Gross is seen as part of its broader strategy to strengthen its AI division. Sutskever's appointment marks a return to leadership at SSI, where he is now leading the company solo after Gross's exit.
